We have lived here for about 7 months and love it. We plan on staying until we are relocated, unless the rent increases.
The pros:
-Exceptionally well-maintained grounds and common areas
-Beautiful apartments
-Superb amenities (pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, excellent gym, etc etc)
-Washer/dryer
-Built in the '90s..good condition
-Close to Metro
-We have had no noise problems. Occasionally we hear something upstairs, but nothing worth complaining about.
-Excellent, secure parking garage. Extreme weather conditions don't affect our cars at all.
-Controlled access everywhere
-Professional, efficient maintenance staff
The Cons:
-Kitchen is TINY...the "no silverware drawer" complaint is not an exaggeration. Ours is in a tray on the counter! Not enough counter space for cooking.
-We've had a lot of plumbing problems, but maintenance has gone above and beyond to fix things.
-AC freezes over easily
-Not very kid-friendly. No place for kids to play or even roam around, and nothing in walking distance...but most residents don't have kids anyway
-While some of office staff is helpful and courteous, I have seen them fight in front of residents on multiple occasions. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
-Quite pricey
Overall I would recommend it to anyone. It is a beautiful complex with loads of amenities, and we feel very safe here.
