My horrible experience with this place started the day that I moved in. The leasing agent told that I could begin to move in at 9am on a Sunday morning, but falled to tell me that the leasing office did not open until noon. How was I supposed to get the key to my apartment to move in' I was told that typically folks come a day before to get the key. How is that possible when you haven't moved to the area yet' Was I supposed to sleep in my van overnight' I have had several more experiences with the leasing personnel and they are incredibly rude. They speak to you as if you're the stupidest person they've ever talked to. On top of it all, the leasing office has operating hours of 9am-5pm. Now you explain to me how I am supposed to talk to them if I have an issue without affecting my work schedule. I leave to go to work at 7am and get home at 5pm at the very earliest. Needless to say, not a second thought is given to convience of the tenants.
The apartment is reprehensible. I was shown a nicely fixed up and very presentable unit. To my shock, when I moved in to my unit, the stove wobbles, the blinds are bent and do not go up and down (just down), the baseboards are falling off the wall. The washer makes awful sounds that so loud that I can't hear the TV even at full volume. The drier takes two full hours to dry a small load of laundry. The A/C is horribly loud as well and very ineffective. It has to run essentially nonstop to maintain any temperature setting that I've tried. And forget about openning your windows, b/c the street noise from Route 1 is terrible at all hours of the day and night.
To top it all off the apartment buildings are poorly designed (at least building 2 is). Building two is larger by several floors but there is only parking access on two of the four parking garage floors. How does it make any sense to essentially have twice the amount of parking for the smaller of the two buildings'
I got suckered in my all the amenities, such as the gym, pool, and tennis courts, which are very nice and wonderful to have around. But I would rather get a new apartment and a gym membership for the money that I pay in rent.
