Overall I would recommend this place, IF you are okay with the following. I will say that I never experienced problems with the maintenance staff, they responded in a reasonable amount of time. As far as appliances, I had problems with the washer and in 1 day I received a brand new one. The heater does not work very well at all, air conditioner works great. Immediately after moving in, I heard my neighbor cough. That is my biggest gripe about the apartment. You can hear everything through the walls. Needless to say I could not connect my surround sound, so if you like to listen to your music, or enjoy watching a movie with the sound up, I would suggest somewhere else. Also pray that you get neighbors that are considerate, I was awoken to the sound of my neighbors having "fun" at 330 in the morning on a Sunday. The sad part is that they were not wild, its just that the walls are not very well insulated, if they are at all. Joe, the shuttle driver, is a great person to have aboard the staff, he is very pleasant. The leasing staff are helpful, the whole 2 times I had to talk with them. As far as proximity to the city, its great. I only use the metro (no car) and I didnt mind the mile (maybe less than 1)walk. But then again I enjoy walking. No issues with security. Sometimes it takes the staff about 2-3 weeks to cash your rent check, not really a problem with me, but maybe with others.
