I recently moved into Kingsport. And although I can see some of the problems that people are complaining about. I do not agree with the statements regarding management and the office staff. My experience has been very pleasant. The staff has called me and responded to every situation that I have told them about. They are polite and seem to care about my complaints and needs. Now that is not to say that people are lying about there experiences and that management does not have things to work on. But presentation makes the difference. Have you ever heard the saying you get more bees with honey. Sometimes I think negative approaches get negative responses. So far the problems that I have complained about have not been fixed. But this is only day 2 of my complaint and I received a call updating me of that the head of the maintained department is scheduled to go out to my apartment to see the problems and give an estimated time to when the problem will be fixed. Once everything is completed or not, I will come back and give an updated response to the condition of my unit and the response time and work that was done.
As for my neighbors, they are Spanish but very pleasant. They keep to themselves and never seem to bother anyone. They are very hard working people and seem to want what I want. A better life for there children and loved ones. And given the same life and choices that they had and have you must ask yourself would you be any different. Okay, we that are Native Americans can never understand the struggles they have had. SO until you walk a mile in there shoes, be careful about what you say. Oh, by the way, I am a black woman.
My building is clean and yes like everyone else I do have roaches.
TIPS FOR ROACHES: 1. Get combat gel and put it around the corners of all your cabinets inside, then put down shelf paper. Also do the cabinet in the bath room. 2. Get combat roach bates and place them in the corner of every cabinet on the counter top, behind the refrigerator, behind the stove, and in the bathroom and closets. 3. Make sure you never ever leave dishes in the sink at night and try and wipe up all water. 4. Never, put damp clothes in a bag or corner.
There are so many things that you can do to ensure that your unit is bug free or the amount of bugs that you see is not a lot. I am speaking from experience living in apartments from DC, MD and Virginia. These things work..........
