I have never in my life lived with roaches before until July 2004. I'm actually getting depressed about these bugs..At first I started seeing baby bugs, but then it started to get worse. I pay under $800/mth which is why I wont invite any friends or family over because I'm so embarrassed. Sometimes you can hear them in the walls, or something in the walls and its not human. Speaking of the walls, they're extremely thin... If you work at night like myself, expect to be awakened by loud car horns at 5am/6am by people getting rides to work. Sometimes I just depend on hearing the horns that early instead of setting my alarm clock!!

The neighbors downstairs pump the music like there is no tomorrow.. If you're watching TV, you almost have to turn the volume all the way up!! The floor even vibrates. Then on top of that, if I make the smallest noise, they keep hitting the ceiling so I would be quiet!!! How dare they do that!!!

So to sum this all up... The good things are: rent is affordable, its close to EVERYTHING as well as Maryland and DC, washer/dryer in the unit, dishwasher, bathroom is a little bigger than average, all carpet, and ample parking (except if you have friends over)-one guest pass, maintenance lets you know when they are coming, latinos are nice and dont bother me.

Bad things: INFESTED WITH ROACHES!!!!!! Car vandalism (my brother stayed one night and they broke into his Lincoln, took all CD's), guys always trying to holla, loud car horns early in the morning, random people knock on your door who dont speak English (wrong apartment they claim), trash and beer bottles are always on the ground, guys are always sitting on the stoop outside by the apartment door (but are nice people), NO SECURITY ANYWHERE and they stick coins in the doors so they wont lock but you pay a deposit to get the key to the main door.

I cant wait to leave.. The roaches go away for a day or two but then come right back and this is the main reason I want to leave. If there were NO roaches, I would probably stay for a longer while becz its convenient to everything! 5 min away Potomac Yard!!
