I was new to this state from the midwest. I had NEVER been late on my rent beyond 4 days. I informed the rude and ignorant property manager (Anthony -short --- wht dude) that I would be late with my rent upon switching jobs. He informed me that he would make a note of it and that I would still be responsible for the late fees in which I PAID on the 15th ($1,024) for the month I was late. I got a notice to come to court for failure to pay rent because the little bastard went to court to have me evicted. So when I asked about the cort notice, he told me not to worry about it because I had already paid my rent (including the late fees). The following month---I paid on time my normal rent. Two months --- yes two months --- go by and I come home from work at 3am to find a pink eviction notice posted on my door for neighbors to see that also included my full name. It was a Thursaday! The notice said I had to be off the premises by MONDAY at 11am!!! I was stunned and even worse scared! I was new to this state and had no one here. When I went to the rental office that Friday to figure out why this was happening...the non-english speaking assistant property manager gave me the runaround. Needless to say I was pisses at this point. I had just began this new job that I couldn't take off from to address this mess. Anyhow, I ended up calling the fairfax police because the idiot wouldnt give me a print out of ALL my rent checks paid. Lied about not having the password to access that info. He mysteriously had the password when the police showed up. THE PROPERTY MANAGERS ARE FOUL and even worse...when I called the company who owns the grounds...they instantly sided with the property managers without even looking at the file or my cancelled checks that showed FULL PAYMENT. Anthony was upset that I caused a scene at the office by calling the police and told me I needed to get my ---- out the house (VERBATIM). Now I have a judgement on my credit report that I'm having a hard time getting off.
I do plan to sue Silverwood Properties!!!!
