I lived in Lloyd Apartments for 4 years. Many of the complaints I've read on here are accurate (smelly trash rooms, 10 coats of paint on the walls, occasional roach sitings). However, many of the pluses are also accurate. The staff is VERY helpful. Also, my neighbors have always been really great. The apartments have no amenities but for the price and how near the complex sits to 395 and the city it cannot be beat. In 4 years my rent has been raised only $40. Most of the difficulties associated with Lloyd come from the fact that it is an older complex (been around since the 1960s I think). But it is well run by caring staff.
