Lloyd Apartments

awesome place to live From: dystonic Date posted: 12/23/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   I've been living at Lloyd since august and I've never had a problem; if things break maintenace comes out pronto, things get fixed same day, and everyone is very nice. It's a old building, but we live on the third floor so we don't have bug issues (we deal with the stairs though, which kind of sucks.) the walls are really thick so we never hear any of the neighbors. the bedroom structure in the 2 bedrooms rocks.. they are across the hall from each other so I never hear my roommate and we can both play our music or have our alarm clocks blaring without causing each other issues. The kitchens are okay but not spectacular, you're going to want to have a narrow table for the side of the kitchen the cabinets aren't on to give yourself some extra workspace, and there could be more cabinet space. There are occasional blackouts but it's not too icky, doesn't happen all that often or for very long. The laundry rooms are adjacent to the trash rooms which kind of sucks but the laundry has never come out smelling bad so it's not horrible and they close them at nine which kind of sucks. The neighbors are nice, it's a very middle-class complex and so you get decent middle-class people, not at all hard to deal with. The parking lots could be bigger but there's always parking on the street or there's a secondary lot a block away that I can park in if there's not street parking, even at 2am. The third floor apartments can get a bit warm but we called maintenance and they are able to do stuff to keep them from being too hot. The bathrooms could be bigger but are plenty big enough for me and my roommate. overall I really like living here and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
