I moved to Lloyd last fall and didn't see a roach until May. As soon as it got warm, they came crawling. I live on the first floor and there are large roaches out on the porch. I've had two of them get inside. I reasearched them and they are called American Cockroaches. They live outside, in foundations, sewers, etc. I've had two of them sneak in my apartment under my door. I've also had to deal with german cockroaches in my kitchen. They have never been terrible (KNOCK ON WOOD) but I would see one in the morning a day or two a week. Lloyd came and sprayed 3 weeks in a row and that seemed to do the trick for a while. A few weeks later they came back. I feel like it has been a never ending battle. The apartments are just old. I have managed to keep the population of them down though and this is what I did. A. Caulk all cracks--you can buy clear caulking and you can buy foam caulking for areas such as under the sinks, etc. B. Dust with Boric Acid. You can buy this at a Pharmacy. You just want to dust lightly in places you see them, don't make it thick. Boric acid doesn't instantly kill roaches, but they walk through it and take it back to the nest. Then die and then the other roaches eat them, passing it on. Gross, I know. C. Stay really clean. I spray down my counters with bleach every night and never leave dishes out. I hope this helps. I also live near a trash room and I think this attracts them. I wish Lloyd would clean up the trash rooms as they are nasty. Overally though, I really like Lloyd. The office staff is so sweet and they have been so understanding to me about the bug problem. You def. wouldn't get their service anywhere else. The complex is also in a great location and the price is the lowest around. I'm going to try to make it through winter (hoping they will go away again) and then move on in the spring before they come crawling! GOOD LUCK!!!

i live at lloyds too and i agree with your first response. i had a problem awhile back i took matters into my own hands. i bought some electronic pest repeller and the maintenance engineer and office scheduled me for a special treatment of some dust they spray behind the walls which has so far, knock on wood, too, has done the trick for the last 3 months so far. i also agree that aside from that one problem, lloyd apartments is great and they honestly seem to care and want to help you. talk to steve or stacey in the office. they can definately help you.

I recommend that you purchase some Boric Acid (powder that kills roaches and insects) because that worked for my house when it was infested, but now my house is roach-free. And if boric acid does not help, then sorry for you brother (^_^).
