I lived there for three years (98 to 01), and the rent (especially considering the included utilities) is exellent, although it went up considerably while I was there. (Inherent to all apartments, though) It is a good place to start, but once I began to make more money, I began to look at luxury apartments that offer more. How I miss the included utilities!!! Given what I pay now, it's better to stay there, save the money on rent, and move into a townhome or condo. of your own, which is exactly what I'm doing now. The staff there was almost always friendly and responsive, but there was an issue with a burst pipe on the upper floors which damaged apartments beneath it, including mine. It's an old building (I lived in the main structure), built in the 50's, and the infrastructure shows it's age. Anyway, if it hadn't been for LPT, I woulden't have been able to afford to live in Alexandria early in my career, so I recomend it, it's also a affordable place for families to live. That's my experience, hope it helps.
