Nasty From: pod13 Date posted: 4/2/2002 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2002   This place is not expensive. I lived here for about 2 1/2 years and since all the utilities are included its reasonable. LOTS OF ROACHES! Every few months they make you take everything out of your kitchen and they come by with an exterminator. WARNING: If you leave anything on the shelves, (plate, cup, bowl) they will not do your apartment. That means you will get ALL THE ROACHES from everyone elses apartment. This ritual is barely enough to keep them from taking over. There are always maintenence problems. In the summer the air conditioning from the apartments above leak into your ceiling. My phone line was cut somewhere in the building and it was 3 weeks before it mysteriously started working again. The manager kept telling me to pay to have it fixed and he would pay me back if it was his problem. Yeah, right. The power was flaky. If you have computers Id recommend investing in a good UPS or two. Some of my stuff never worked again after moving out. They had the back of the complex dug up to fix the broken air conditioner for about a year. This year they started drilling out the concrete surrounding the exterior windows to replace it all. They began about 8am every morning. "Oh i hope you dont work nights." Most of the staff in the business office I found to be rude. My car was broken into and my radio stolen while sitting in the lot. I was away on business and it was 5 days before the business office called to tell me the window was missing and glass was everywhere. Its impossible to find a spot if you arrive to late in the evening. You can get high speed DSL service from a number of providers... speeds up to 1.5K SDSL from NAS, Covad and Verison were available. Digital Cable is also available.
