Just a comment on the last review:
Apparently they think an apartment will be just like their home. Unfortunately this is not the case!
The main building is probably 40 to 50 years old, so you should expect plumbing leaks. Maintennance comes in twice a year to change filters and check for plumbing leaks.
The heating/AC is provided via chilled or heated water. Although each unit does have thermostats, it can't control the temperature of the water that is circulated throughout the entire building. I've had to turn the heat/AC off in my apartment because I've been too cold in the summer and too hot in the winter. I have no idea what this "master thermostat" idea is, but you just don't raise/lower the temperature of the water in a system like this without a couple of days time.
If mice/roaches run up/down the garbage chutes, that also isn't management's fault. This is the fault of residents who, instead of using the chutes,just leave their garbage in the chute rooms, sitting on the floor. Of course the roaches will spread out from there. This is the fault of filthy residents, NOT the management.
I've lived here for three years here and love my apartment. You just have to remember this is communal living and NOT your personal home.
