Its a dog eat dog world to find decent affordable living in this area! LONDON PARK TOWERS is definitely affordable with all inclusive utilities, and spacious models ARE available. I live in one of the mid-rises overlooking Cameron Station and have a clear view of the Masonic Temple. There is a lot of hidden beauty to discover in this area, especially if you like bike riding or nature walks. There is also bus service to Old Towne, two great resturaunts and a 7/11 across the street. The office management staff are very courteous and the maintenance people are also kind. I have seen a few isolated roaches RARELY, but I also keep a clean place. I am told the exterminator will come on request more often if needed. The pool was great this summer and kids love the fountains when they are running. Landscaping upkeep is done very well around the buildings!
If you look hard enough I am sure you can find problems or trouble anywhere in this area such as SSL and MS-13 gang markings, etc. However, the community here seems to be very good people and I am not hanging out on the streets late at night! Parking is definitely a problem and I was told that BEFORE renting. Tax assesments for vehicles are higher in City of Alexandria than my old place of residence. There is some loud noise from the Fire Station, but I wonder if anyone has ever complained' Three truck sirens in the middle of the night is not needed, one siren would sufice. Also, Duke Street is suprisingly empty and quiet at nights. In short, you can make this a better place to live or you can make it worse. Good things happen to good people!
I would definitely reccomend LONDON PARK TOWERS to others. I am thankful to have a great place in the Washington, DC area of sprawling population growth that I can afford! For now, I am proud to call LONDON PARK TOWERS my home!
