Lynbrook Management!
I moved to this apartment about a year ago with my family because I thought it was a convenient location for my work and also thought the area was not "that bad" to live. Well, soon enough after moving we discovered so many interesting things, such as bed bugs, rats, roaches, and other scary looking insects that I have not seen before, even while living in the bushes of Africa.
I am a laid back person so I went ahead and informed the management to take care of the bug problem. About a month later, the shower stopped working properly, the bathroom door would not lock, and there was not enough hot water. When I called them to ask about the cold water situation, the response I got was "we are fixing it" without giving us any notice. Later on, they came to "fix" the door and the shower knob, but it was a half cast job, as a result I had to call them again a week later. To sum up the maintenance crew is not fully qualified to do the job, because they HAVE NO clue how to even change a knob. Now to my biggest disappointment!!!!
Recently my one year lease was over, so I went to the office to talk to them about my lease though they have not sent me any paper informing me that my lease was over. Yet, I went ahead and signed a lease for another year only to receive a "fine" for $1,038 because they were charging me on monthly basis.{please I know you are going to ask you me why I signed for another year knowing it was a bad place to live. I didn't have any option because I was in a middle of something} I went to talk to the Manager, but he did not pay attention to me. He told me get an "appointment" in order to meet up with him so I did. When I went on the day of my appointment, he ignored me while I was talking to him and turned his face around to his computer's monitor and said "just pay." He assumed that having a security guard with a gun by his side would shut me up from exercising my right.
The majority of the people that live at Lybrook complex are foreigners, therefore the discrimination that goes on in the management office, words cannot begin to express it enough. I will not shut my mouth about the poor management of Lynbrook. Though it is a convenient location, but the apartment really is awful, from rude managers, to poorly maintained appliances. For the $ you have have to pay here, PLEASE buy a house or move somewhere else. It is NOT worth your $. I URGE YOU NOT TO MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to live at Lynbrook. It's horrible there for more reasons than what is just written in the above review. While I cannot personally vouch for any discrimination, it's best to avoid this location and its sister apartment complexes within the Mark Center.
