I too lived at R&R - some things have gotten better (the renovated apts) and some things have gotten worse. Olivia (the daughter of the owner) and her husband Mike (he's helpful) help run the place. She is a wolf in sheeps clothing people. The building is not up to code - no emergency lighting (if the lights go out and you live on the 2nd or 3rd floor, buy a flashlight - NO LIGHT IN THE HALLWAY) no fire extinguishers in their designated spots (odd). The hallways need to be painted, deodorized and recarpeted. There is also a problem with roach infestation - ongoing. I'm not certain if the problem has been fixed or not but there was quite a problem with mold in a unit within the building. BTW - I should also mention that Olivia did also live in the building, so a glowing review...I wonder who would have written that'! One other thing is better at Manor House - they no longer have the posted Sexual Offender (registered with Alexandria) living in the building - he used to lurk around the grounds drinking beer with his dog. Creepy! But most of the people that live there are cool - and the area is great. Just hope that you don't get hit up by George (who's nice) the son/maintence guy (totally a family run business) with his brochures on the Johavah's Witnesses. (No, I'm not joking)
