We loved living at Manor House. The owners are kind, friendly, and attentive, and the few problems we had were corrected quickly. Our apartment was so nice...hard wood floors and lots of light; the grounds are lovely and very well maintained. There is a great courtyard between the 2 buildings - great for BBQing or just hanging out. Parking was never an issue, even late at night. Best of all, they are very pet friendly. The rent was about what we expected for the area. Del Ray is a great neighborhood...pedestrian and cyclist friendly; there are great shops, coffee joints, and restaurants all within walking distance; plus it's very safe and just so beautiful and quiet. We really miss it! (We only left b/c we bought a place). We highly recommend Manor House to everyone!

Be aware that management has been posting many reviews of Manor House and rating the apartment as 5.0 to boost the overall rating. Always be suspicious of reviews that say the place is "perfect" with no problems. Nothing in life is perfect! The lack of honesty is a sure give-away that this is a fake post.

This is definitely not a fake post. We just moved out at the end of June after 2.5 years. Ask around, you can easily find out who we are. A young-ish married couple with a dog, apartment facing Nelson. We never used the word "perfect" in our review; please don't misquote us. We realize full well that nothing in life is perfect. We also don't appreciate your accusation of dishonesty. We truly had a wonderful experience at Manor House; we are sorry that you did not, but you should really be sure of your facts before you start projecting your dissatisfaction on to other posters on this site. One last thing: we got back our full security deposit, with interest, within about 2 weeks after moving out, no questions asked. We just made sure our apartment was clean and that we repaired the holes we created hanging posters, etc. Your being unhappy with Manor House does not translate to our lying about our experience. Good luck to you, though; we hope you are heading towards happier living.
