I lived in a 2 BR, 2 bath 1st floor corner apartment and had lots of natural light. Noise from automatic garage door opener (located directly under my apartment) was very annoying and irritating, esp in middle of night. Also, lots of VERY LOUD noise during the night from local neighborhood (usually during spring and summer months). Utilities (gas, electric, water, cable, telephone)are extra and cost me approximately $130/mo, but I lived by myself and was gone 50% of time. Staff were very courtious and friendly. Excercise rooms were always available, clean, and equipment was operational. Building was not as secure as it should be; delivery people had free access. Braddock Street METRO is a 5 minute walk from apartment. National Airport METRO stop 5-7 minute ride (one stop). L'Enfant Plaza (DC METRO station) is a 15-20 min ride, when the the rail is operating properly....but there are often delays during the winter months. I paid $1475/mo for rent (not including utilities). Each apartment has its own washer/dryer, but dryer works poorly. I never used the dish washer.
