I just moved out of my apartment in the Phase 1 building. Our lease ends July 31 but the office messed up our paperwork and leased our apartment to someone on July 11. Well, my roommate and I were both paying two rents and we wanted to move out at the beginning of July anyways so we went ahead and moved. We paid a full months rent and parking at the beginning of the month because at that time we did not know we were going to be leaving so early. Not only did we have to turn in our keys and access cards by the 10th we also had to turn in our parking passes and we recieved no reimbursement for either. The office said that we had to give 30 days notice on our parking passes of which we could not do because we did not know we were going to be manipulated out of the building early. I enjoyed living at Meridian and I recommend that people live there if you have a money that you don't mind wasting. The rent is high and if you look hard you could find a row house in old town or del ray for the same price. The only thing that this place has going for it is that it is close to a metro. For those of you moving from another area, project housing is located one block from the building. But there is no need to worry, the cops are always out there.
