Being in the military, I've lived in what feels like a million different apartments. This is BY FAR the best I've ever seen. It's very new, clean, and quiet...at night. There is a LOT of construction going on on both sides of the building, so if you work shifts or sleep past 7:00 am, be prepared for pile driving and the incessant beep-beep-beep of construction trucks backing up.
That being said, this place is high class, and believe it or not, the rent is quite reasonable for the area. The pool is very clean, the fitness room is small but adequate, and I love the concierge service! I can't tell you how convenient it is to drop off your dry cleaning at the front desk in a bag and have it back the next day by the mail room. It's great that they receive your packages for you too. The resident parties they have are cool with top notch food.
Being a very social person, I have to say that after more than a year of living here, I don't really know any of my neighbors. Since it's a high rise, you see a lot of people coming and going, but everyone really keeps to themselves. However, everyone is very polite and friendly.
Ahhhh, the garage. You really learn to appreciate that underground garage when there's six inches of snow on the ground outside, and you drive past the guy scraping the ice of his windshield before heading to work. I like that they have addition storage "lockers" (for an add'l monthly fee) to put your extra stuff you don't really use that much.
As for the staff, they've always been really great to me. They were even nice enough to donate a few hours for a private fundraising charity event in the top-floor club room. I can't say enough great things about the concierges...they really know the meaning of customer service.
Bottom line...if you can afford it, live here! It might be pricey for some folks (there is a minimum income requirement here), but you really get what you pay for
