Great building, but management not.

We love the apartment and the location is great. Management is courteous but will not negotiate if you have a problem. We had a one bedroom and found out we were having a baby. Management would not budge on letting us move before the baby and pay more money to rent a larger apartment. We loved the building, and just wanted to be allowed to move to a larger apartment. A win-win situation for both parties since they would get more money per month, but nope. There is not much to say for people who do not recognize extenuating circumstances. The place is wonderful as long as you do not foresee having any problems which require understanding.

I live at the Meridian also and couldn't agree more with the above review. The building itself is very nice and filled with intelligent, professional people. Just wish the management were of the same caliber as the residents. I've lived in apartment buildings that were not only nice buildings, but also had professional, sophisticated managment staff. Mind you, the concierge staff are the best, it's the front office that are very small minded and unsophisticated. Maybe they haven't had much experience in dealing with quality people. Who knows. Bottom line - it's definitely NOT worth moving in.

I have to disagree with the "Bottom line" above. I have absolutely NO regrets about moving into the Meridian. Sure, not all of the leasing agents have a great deal of experience, and not all are sophisticated, especially since Kaylee was promoted to manage another property. But who really cares--residents don't usually deal with the leasing agents. My experiences with the front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping staffs have been excellent. The couple of times I've dealt with the leasing office have been ok--I understand people may be new or not have the authority to grant special requests. For residents who are supposedly so worldly, the posters above really don't show it by their reactions.
