While it may look nice from the outside, living here is a nightmare. First, the management and maintenance staff are horrible. When things break down (and they will, frequently), response time is slow or non-existent. I discovered that one of my windows wouldn't lock (and I live on the ground floor). It took weeks of calls and several visits to the office to finally get the problem resolved. I lost hot water and heat more than 10 times in the year that I lived there and again, response was poor and when they did send someone, it was often someone with no experience and they would spend hours trying to fix it before calling a supervisor. When a pipe burst in the garage causing debree and liquid to eat through the paint on my car, management told me that it was my problem and that is why I had insurance. Luckily my insurance collected from them. From talking to other residents, they have had similar experiences with the management.

In addition to the frequent maintenance problems and the indifferent management, they will also raise your rent substantially after the initial period of your lease...I'm talking $150-200 more per month after the first year.

Also, don't pay to much attention to the amenities. The gym is small and is frequented by people from surrounding neighborhoods making it absurdly crowded most of the time...same with the pool.

To conclude: bad management, maintenance problems, skyrocketing rent and poor amenities. Save your self the frustration and avoid Millbrook at Mark Center.

I totally agree - this place isn't worth 1/2 of what we have to pay!
