Got young Kids, look elsewhere, it's not worth the hassle

My family have been tenants at Millbrook for almost 4 years now. The past 3 years we have had no major complaints and the management team used to do a pretty good job putting up notices for stuff like when the pool would be opening and what the hours of operation would be. Since the new managenent has taken over, I have yet to see one notice regarding the pool operations and have spoken to many a tenants who were mad that when the office was called to ask what the times were, they were told the wrong times so spent alot of their time waiting around for the pool to open when it was in fact closed.
When we moved in we were told that as people move in and out they could reserve the elevators and put up notices on each floor of the building to say that they were being used. We have not seen one person do that and have waited with sleeping children and handfulls of groceries in the garage for an elevator that was not coming.
If you have small children, PLEASE, PLEASE try to find another apartment home of insist on one on the ground floor. Your neighbours WILL complain of any little step you make no matter if it is during the day when you are supposed to be up and about. They will even complain if your child happens to find one of those door stoppers on springs and sits there pulling at them, because to a toddler that makes a cool noise, but to your neighbour it does not.
I have two small children and even though we have renewed our lease 3 times, it's just because it is conveniant to my husbands work and we want to buy a house. There are mostly military people and people just moving through that reside here and younger aged people with room mates. Families that I have come across with young are very nice, but have all had some sort of complaint against them because of the very poor insulation between floors. The leasing office may call you and ask you to try and be quieter (how, I do not still know unless you can levitate around your apartment), and your "friendly" neighbous may just pay you a visit and ask if everything is all right because there is so much noise (during the day with children, yes there would be but not because they are jumping around all day, but just because they are kids).
The price they ask you to hand over each month is just too much, but in some ways we do feel a bit more secure here than at other places we looked at (even though the "gated community" access gates are not working about half the time).
They also have a tough time of keeping track who has reserved parking or storage places and there are many people who do not care if they take up more than one parking space when they do park. My new van has many a scratch's on it and I am one of those people who WILL take the time to look at the lines on the road and make sure that the next person has enough space. People with pets, you need to pick up after them, I do not suggest that you ever walk through the grass unless you want poo on your shoe.
