This Place Sucks

I am utterly disappointed in this apartment complex. The staff is incredibly unprofessional. Don't be fooled by their intitial greeting when you come to look at the apartments for the first time. It all ends there. one of the employees, Britany is particularly bad. Not only does she not speak English very well, but is completely rude and incompetant. It as though you are dealing with a sixteen year old. Brian is a little better, but not really. I think it more has to do with Andre the manager who does not hold them accountable for anything. The apartments themselves are very low quality and very poorly insulated. Water temperature is often luke warm for this same reason. The heater runs non-stop all day and still the apartments are not warm enough in the winter and are not cool enough in the summer. The rent is too high for the standards this place holds. How they plan to sell these place I have no idea. Someone would have to be an idiot to buy a place with the poor quality appliances, terriblly cheap furnace/air conditionor, broken elevator, broken gates, broken trash compactor which they charge us extra for, no visitor parking, metro shuttle unavailable at any other time besides early morning weekdays. The place is a mess. I will move after my lease is up. Unless they fire everyone in that office there is no way I would consider living here any longer.

Please don't pay attention to this review. It is apparent that this fool doesn't live at Town Square nor does she know what the hell is going on. If she did, she would know that Andre was no longer the manager. Additionally, she would also know that the two leasing consultants, Brittany and Brian, are very knowledgeable about the property. I've dealt with Brittany on several occasions and I was not only very pleased with her responses but had a better understanding of the policies and procedures of the company. Brittany has made my stay here enjoyable and I can also talk to several residents who can back me up. Also, if a place was this horrible, why would you continue to live here? Think people!!!

The person doing the original post got the names right of the staff--I have never met any manager. She is also right that the staff is unresponsive. If you want anything fixed, I think you have to put it in writing. We've been here 6 weeks and a request to do a minor repair, which we've made 3 times verbally, has yet to be done. Currently the over-worked staff is asking the company that owns Town Square (the business card at the rental office says JBG Companies, jbg.com) to allow them to not take in packages. I found out today, though, that two packages we were missing had been left by FedEx at the old Millbrook at Mark Center leasing office, right next door to Town Square. Derrick, one of the staff, says they are too overworked to handle maintenance requests. He told us when we moved in that the security gate, which was finally repaired in May, 2007, had been broken for a year and they were beginning to wonder if it would ever be fixed. The trash continues to run over. I haven't seen the animal feces that others complained of. The A/C in our townhouse is very effective, but it sounds like a plane taking off if you sleep in the back/north bedroom just above the A/C itself. We have to leave the A/C off all night or be waked up constantly when it comes on. The complex itself, though, is nice and quiet and the neighbors very friendly.
