Awful Policies - Thin Walls/Ceilings/Floors

I think the title sums it up fairly well. I was one day late on rent for the first time (dropped it off after-hours on the day it was due) and they return my check and charge me over $300. A $50 fee I would accept, forgetfulness on my part, but I can't fathom how $300 is fair. On top of that I had to pay it with a money order. You have to love insult to injury.
The building is cheaply made. It's sturdy enough but I can hear my neighbors on both sides and above, and they all can hear me as well. If your pets run around at all or if you wear high-heels, prepare to have your downstairs neighbors complain.
Rent is normal for the area I suppose, though the two full-time lifeguards on the 15x15 3 ft. deep pool sure seems like a waste. This is probably one of the reasons my rent jumped almost 25% year over year.
Other than that, no real complaints, but I will not be renewing my lease when it comes up in October, and I suggest you don't fill my apartment when I vacate.
