Community is friendly, mixed, mostly middle-income ($35-75,000 p.a.) residents. It is close to everything and has a refocused management team and new customer friendly staff. Resident since August 2004.

"Refocused managment team"? 35-75k residents? I lived in this apartment from 2004-2006. I hated it, the grounds are nice, but the people who live here are so trashy. About 90% of the people living here are minorities many who are very poor, do not speak english, are very shady looking, and are very rude. Further, the office staff at the front desk are nasty and would always threaten us with eviction (the so called 21/30, 21 days to comply or evicted in 30 days) b/c of minor issues such as balancy appearance (i.e. having a grill) and for not presenting ID when claiming our own package at the front desk. In addition, in those 2 years my rent went up considerably (about 25% because a Safeway just opened up nearby and the large increase in month to month lease rates). Since then I have moved to another apartment a few miles away and I have had a world of difference. I now really enjoy the area, and thus far the new apartment management has treated us with dignity and respect, something we never received with the front office staff after signing the lease at mount vernon.
