I have been here for almost 9 mos and the amt of problems I have had are an insane amt for one person at one complex. To start off it took 2 weeks to get a working toilet from day of move in. I had someone (assuming kids) doing things to my vehicle. I had roaches and other insects that they wouldn't do anything about until 2 mo later when they were going to do the entire bldg. I had my entire apt filled with the dust from a tub being reglazed, and because of that many things were unusable and had to be replaced. I had no cooperation from people at mt vernon & was actually accused of things by people there until I went to the regional mgr...since then things have slowed down but not gotten any better!! And now I have raccoons or something else living in the attic/walls of my apt. I would never recommend this place to an enemy let alone a friend. I wish I had the time, money and the friends to move me out of here months ago. If you were wise you would get out as soon as possible!!

oh my god, i know exactly how you feel. last year i was living on the 3rd floor and there was something in the walls and raccoons somehow get into the attic in the winter. it's ridiculous. i am sorry you are having so much trouble, but i've been where you are. i reported it to the manager etc, he said they were taking care of it, but of course the animals stayed. it freaked me out so much i ended up moving to a different apartment, different building, on a lower floor.

I too am experiencing the problems with animals in the attic. management seems to downplay it but it sounds pretty scary when you start hearing scratches, bumps, and knaws in the middle of the night! I had the issue last year, and its starting again this year already!!! Of course they always claim they will take care of it and never do!!!

I too am experiencing problems with this property. Maintenance is poor and you have to fight for what you are entitled to. Promises and promises to fix things, but never do.
