I have lived at Park Place for almost 5 years. In that time, I have never seen any bugs in my apartment. The park on the other side of the street is wonderful for walks, or taking pets.
The staff works hard to see that the overall building complaints are taken care of. It is an older building, but many things are being upgraded and fixed.
The view from the balconies is amazing, and provides a panoramic of the city that is hard to believe. There is a well kept swimming pool, market on the lower level, and access to Old Town just a few minutes drive. Shirlington is also just a few minutes away, and there is an entire shopping center with a ton of stores just down the street.
Unfortunately, people that post negative remarks to Park Place believe there is a eutopian condo complex somewhere in Washington DC. I imagine there is, if you're willing to spend half a million dollars. For the price of teh units, the location, and the view, Park Place has a lot more to offer than it's given credit for.

Maybe you have a wonderful view from your floor, but if you are not over the treeline, then you only see 395 or trees if you're on the other side of the building. Maybe you are one of the people who loiters at the front desk and talks to the staff about the other residents, but the staff a INCREDIBLY unprofessional... not only with residents, but with guests, as well. I have yet to see anyone working hard... just hardly working. We are not looking for eutopia... just somewhere that has reasonable staff, nice residents, and isn't roach infested. Park Place is OBVIOUSLY not it! It has nothing to offer! The units are WAY over priced for the condition of the building. Yes, there are new elevators, but can you honestly give 30 consecutive days that all four elevators have functioned properly? I think not! Our comments are realistc... not negative. Welcome to reality!
