I highly recommend it. We have been here about 1 month & we are very pleased with things. The complex is brand new, so everything is in perfect shape: Brand new appliances, balconies in every unit, Very clean, Landscaping is well-kept, Fabulous amenities, Attractive clubhouse & pool area, friendly maintenece workers, Pets welcome, etc. Management staff is very knowledgable & eager to rent. Although at times they seem obnoxious, for the most part they are professional & have high standards. The downside about this apartment community is that there is only one garbage dumpster/area. And for the folks like me who live all-the-way on the other end of the complex, it's just not very convienient. Unfortuately, we are forced to drive or walk our trash nearly 3 blocks to the dumpster! Another less-than-favorable trait I have noticed is that the washer, dryer and the dish washer are VERY LOUD. Hopefully this 1st-hand look into Archstone Van Dorn will be helpful to you in your search for a place to call home.
