TEN REASON WHY NOT TO LIVE HERE

1. The NOISE.. You can hear people constantly walking in the hallways loud! Not to mention all you neighbors when your inside.
2. The Manager is extremely RUDE, arrogant, snooty, and if you ever have a problem she will make you wait at least 15 minutes if your worthy of "wasting her time" as she would say.
3. Parking is terrible! expect to rent a garage for $200 per month if you want to live here. Parking is horrible after 5:30pm.
4. The maintenance is fair only if they could keep promises they make to fix things.
5. There's is too much turn around in the mgtm office. You see a new employee every week.
6. Pest are an issue! Don't plan to live on the 1st floor. Spiders, roaches, fruit flies, salomanders, etc. etc...
7. There is only 1 trash compactor. I lived next to the trash compactor so I didn't have to walk far but I felt sorry for those who live in buildings that were away.
Not to mention that the neighbors get to lazy to walk their trash to the trash compactor so they leave their trash outside of their apt door. Great impression special when you have guests over!
8. I have lived at other Bozzuto communities and this is the first time I was disappointed.
9. There is no control of what kind of pet breeds live at the property. Pitbulls, and other aggressive dogs are not supposed to live there but management apparently doesn't do anything about it.
10. The landscaping is beautiful but there is no control of residents picking up after their dogs. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

You don't say why you're *really* angry and why you moved, but I gather you aren't still there. There were ways to deal with most of these issues before you moved out. Noise transmission issues exist in virtually any wood-frame construction garden-style apartment complex. Developers don't build these places with proper insulation or sound-deadening properties, nor does code require it. Pester your legislative representatives locally to change codes. :) I wouldn't expect to show up at the office and expect to be able to be accomodated for a meeting; email would probably be easier (besides, you should have all comm in writing anyway). As for parking, define what you think is "terrible". I don't know how you like your parking lot-to-building ratio, but it's simply not possible for everyone to have a space within 30 feet of their building entrance. Unless you want 3-to-1 ratio on parking lot to building, it is what it is. (Sure, the management could limit number of cars per unit, but then people would ----- about that too.) If you have problems with maintenance fixing something, you're free to petition the local general district court to ask for an order to the landlord to address, plus an abatement on rent for the effect on fair market rent for lack of whatever being properly operational. "There's is too much turn around in the mgtm office. You see a new employee every week." Hon, that's the way apartment management is in general. "Pest are an issue! Don't plan to live on the 1st floor. Spiders, roaches, fruit flies, salomanders, etc. etc..." Easily addressed by exercising your remedies under state law. I'm not sure how many trash disposal sites you would want taking up room on a property, but no need to feel sorry for folks who don't live nearby. Most folks just chuck trash into their cars and drops it off on their way out. "I have lived at other Bozzuto communities and this is the first time I was disappointed." That's remarkable, since most management companies and complexes are pretty much the same (in any event, they only recently took over this property). "Pitbulls, and other aggressive dogs are not supposed to live there ...." Not sure what you mean by "are not supposed to live there", but there's nothing unlawful about owning pitbulls in Fairfax County. The only time pitbulls are dangerous is when they have ignorant owners, and you can't blame the dog for that. In any event, were you attacked? One would presume you'd mention it. "... but there is no control of residents picking up after their dogs." Not sure what you mean by "control of residents", but of course there is. If you see anyone not picking up after their dog, you may report them to management. It's not as though it's practical to expect there to be 24-hour video monitoring of every square inch of the property (if there were, you'd complain about that too). :)

So management does monitor this site -- I thought so, but I had no idea they'd be so obvious! And I love how NOTHING is management's responsibility. Nothing at all they can do about anything...yep, that sounds like PP@VD.

Honey, I'm not management ... just a resident. :) I don't recall saying "nothing is management's responsibility"; please quote the offending comments.
