I was a resident of Parkwood Court from Oct 2005 to May 2007. When I first moved there, everything was fairly nice. Management and staff very nice. Sarah was a gem. She always had a nice thing to say about anyone. About 2 months ago there was a change in management and let me tell you. I wouldn't give you any reccomendation as to how the residents are treated. The place is roach infested and it takes literally forever to get maintainance to do anything there. I did sign for a second year there but my company transferred me back to Pennsylvania. Thank God for that. The grounds are pretty well groomed but the staff has little to be desired. It's only a matter of time before the life long residents move out. I am so glad I made the move when I did. I had even signed a 60 day vacate notice prior to my moving out and management told me that they didn't have in my file. They told me that I would be liable for the remainder of my lease....yeah, right when I know for a fact that they turn these places around in a little less then 2 weeks. Heck, I left my place cleaner then when I got it. I have so much more to tell but it sickens me to even go further...If you do decide to rent there, make sure you have documentation of pest control services and make sure it's clean. It's really not that bad, once they get all the junk out and some of the trashy residents there. They take section 8 and don't let them tell you otherwise. Actually, their not worth the price of the rent that you pay to them.

ok if u think sarah was a gem .. lol ur on crack..no offense..the whole time i lived there she made my life a living helllllll. now regina she was ok screws a bit loose but other that no prob. sarah on the other hand has stolen so much money from my husband and i and countless other residents .one moment she will say i didnt give her rent for a certain month and when i ,smarter then she thought brought the receipt with her signature on it ...boom she was speeeeechless and it happend more that once so its not like i didnt give the benifit of the doubt of mistakes happen.she yelled at me like she was having withdrawl symtoms and needed a fix right in front of mike the man that was property mgr for like a min. untill one of the maintaince men had to practically pry her off of me mind u im silent crying and holding my several month old child like im a child ... and call me bitter but im young yes and my roof for my son husband and i was constantly treatend . i heard similar stories from other residents including a neighbor whose a cop and had wife deal with rental office issues and she tried to play them aswell not knowing that he was her husband and he was AN officer of the law.tried to get us them and many other residents to pay cash lol you dont notice the occupancy level is looooooowwwww ...as of today my mom and dad , then my sister and herfam still live there (sep units) and now my sister works in the leasing office (not the mgr) so she comes from running her own properties so she can really help get this complex together.

Luana is a horrible manager. So unprofessional when it comes to dealing with the residents. Unfortunately, I have been a resident here for years and I can speak from personal experience about the roaches everywhere, the trash not being picked up everyday, and the pool? Every year they have an excuse why they can't open on time. This new management is worse than sarah - and I thought she was horrible. Guess the joke was on me. Although they accept sec 8, Luana wants to "get rid" of those residents and not allow any others onto the property...people are always complaining about squirrels in their apartments and several maintenance issues that go without being fixed. Each year the a/c units are broken and they put those above other calls and yet they haven't gotten new units - why? And how about maintenance is so unprofessional? They don't wear uniforms, they don't leave any tags to let you know they were in your apartment and they lie about fixing stuff. Don't have a pet, cuz they'll claim that your pet is causing the problems in your unit. Don't call the police officer on site, I think he's in on it with them - he doesn't enforce the rules and only listens to the management and not the residents. THey came out at the community meeting a few weeks ago and fronted for the residents but some of us were very aware that they were faking it from the beginning. Don't forget, they change the rules to fit them every other day, so look out for the notices, they'll be on your door or the building door to inform you of how we all have to suffer for a handful who make mistakes. I'm fortunate at this time, that I'm able to get out and I pray for any person who has to move or live there. Parkwood can be a shelter from the storm but only temporarily, it's not a place to stay long-term or raise a family. I can't wait to move but I hope they fire luana before I do.

well, both sarah and regina were both nice to me. it's the -------s that came in after them was when the whole place changed. They would find things to charge you for, even if it had to do with a maintainence issue. Mike was a good manager. Kind of dumb about the whole property manager thing, but he was ok.
