I rented a condo in this complex for 2 years until I got married and bought my house. I read the previous comments and some I agree with and others I do not.

PARKING: I had an assigned parking spot so no problems there, but I did meet people who had to park outside (RECOMENDATION = Make sure to get an apartment with assigned spots).

MAINTENANCE: I have heard that you ahve to keep badgering the property management company to fix problems, but I was renting from private owners who dealt with them directly. The private owners I worked with always took care of problems because they lived near-by, so I never had the bad experiences that other comments have stated. (RECOMENDATION = Agree ahead of time with the owner who will deal with the property management company).

POOL :) Also, I liked having the pool (I miss that in my new house). (RECOMENDATION: Go to the gym and pay more the $50 for a good pair of trunks or bikini :) ) Oh and buy lots of plastic mugs for sneaking drinks.)

NOISE': Of all of the reviews, there are some complaints about the noise. This is a closely built community in the Washington DC city area, so noise is always going to be a factor anywhere. I think those are complaints from very GERIATRIC crowds, or at least from people who have never lived in a city [try actually living in Washignton or New York]. There is some noise that you can hear sometimes, but COME ON!!! This is the Washington DC Area (as in large city). Meet your neighbors and get to know them so if they are making too much noise you are comfortable with asking them to tone it down (OR AT LEAST INVITE YOU TO THE PARTY).
We are not living in the country. If you don't want to meet people and want to live in seclusion, then move out to Vienna a take the 1.5 HR commute into DC.
