I've been here for a little over 3 months and it's not that bad. I love the location that it is close to CVS, Target and several grocery stores. The bus runs quite frequently so I don't have to drive to the Metro station to catch the train. The price of the rent is reasonable compared to others in the area.

However there are several issues that have me thinking about whether I should be here another year or get out.

1. My bath tub looks like someone took a piece of duct tape and ripped it all to shreds. I called the rental offices and took pictures of the bathroom and all I was told was that nothing could be done.

2. The mice problem. Three weeks into my apartment while I was washing dishes, I was greeted by Mickie. A couple of days later Minnie followed. Again I called repeatedly about the situtation only for promises that the exterminator was coming. Lo and behold, I had to clean out my kitchen three times only for the exterminator to come out once. Look behind the stove, it looks like Hell's Kitchen. Poorly sealed holes and mice dropping everwhere. I raised sane, even went to management and they did fix it. Still Mickie is somewhere in the apartment and he must of found a new hole.

3. The matinee of "A Bug's Life" has suddenly appeared in my kitchen and in the bathroom. There is not enough Lysol, Clorox or Raid to kill them all. I feel like I am at the wild west and the roach and I are dualing each other.

4. Several times some random person is leaning on my vehicle. Thank God for the car alarm because I set it off for them to move. Leaning on someone's vehicle is rude and they are not respecting other people's property.

5. And don't give them any paperwork. You come back letter and reference to that important piece of paperwork and they loose it. Not professional.

6. The additional utility charges are a little outrageous. I would rather that you raise my rent an additional 50.00 than to split the charges. I am just one person, spliting with 20 other people. That's not fair! And I was told the gas was included in the rent. They lied.

I know that apartments are going to have issues and sometimes you might have the same problems in a different property. But they need to do something about these apartments. We need to contact the City of Alexandria and inform them of the poor maintenance of the building. Enough said. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG

That was nice of you to start by saying that its not that bad, but Im glad you laid out the problems, exactly as I remember them before I moved out. Mice, bugs, a staff who refused to respond to simple requests, disrespectful neighbors.....all things that I would never want to live with. I found a place thats a little more expensive, but my utilities are dramatically lower, I dont have to buy cans of Raid each week, I have the peace of mind of not living with rodents and my landlord actually cares about his building.

I totally concur with the new posting by Anonymous. They also lied abotu the gas when i mmoved in and was brushed off by miguel in the office when inquiring about it. I'd also find dozens or horseflys on my floor daily during the spring and summer. i bleeive it was due to the aomunt of D-Con the rats ate regularly and they'd die inside the walls and under the stove, etc. They always have an exterminator come by but it never resolvesd anything, only cuases you to keep emptying out your cabinets monthly. These vagrants over there have no problems having a picnic on top of your car either. I mean I can reminisce for days. Glad to be out of the projects. This place is inm a good location, however it you will never be able to tell how bad it is until you move in!

When I was looking for an apt, I came here and read the reviews; I contacted two people on here and both of them gave me their honest opinion. I was considering it until I actually saw the place while I was riding the bus one day; I don't know where the apt managers are getting their pictures from however people loitering outside the buildings and trash everywhere. The person I spoke to told me he was moving out and that they keep posting ads on CL. I've seen those ads and again pictures are nothing alike. Stay away.

i named my mice Henry (because that way i could name them I, II, III, etc. i lost count at Henry the Tenth. Yuck!! The worst was when my lease was up, instead of telling me the additional amount they tried to take me to court and sue me for non-payment. After I had a fit, reported them to the home office, the legal paperwork was dropped. I have to admit there were things I liked about living there, but after a year the cons outweighted the pros, and I was more than happy to leave. By the way, my current apartment also uses ITSE for utilities, and they're never as high as at PG. Gooed luck, and be careful.
