I am still living at PG, and at first it was nice. I started having a roaches and mice problem. I told, and and emailed the rental office several times, they never showed did anything about it. It was to the point where I had to call an exterminator myself. I am not the type of tenant who likes to complain, but there is so much a human being can take. After that there was the snow season. I live on the lower level, and when it snows or rain, it get all clogged up, you literally have to jump from the inside of your apartment to the first step. That day that step was icy and almost hurt myself. I did not complain once again. Another day i was coming home from work, and my neighbors where outside, they were all talking, as soon as I walked past them they got quiet, and when i pass them they started talking again. I could hear them making references to my ass. Mind you they are all men and live next door to me, a single female. I once again kept it quiet. My last incident was with the upstairs neighbor. That family was so loud, i could swear they lived right next to me. The lady never talked to her kid, and i had all her trash on my door step. He would throw eggs, chairs, and all sort of things from their balcony to my door step. I always asked her to talk to him, I am not even sure if she understood me. I finally decided to go to the rental office (Once again , i am not of of those tenant who complain at everything. I suck it up) I told them that i wanted to transfer my lease to another community:
1. I was first told my account had an outstanding balance, when i had paid rent 2 days before. I had paid for 2 month. I had also agreed to give them a 60 day notice ( that's why i paid 2 month)
I was then told the community i wanted ( it's in woodbridge ) did not have any apt available . I went to work, checked the website and saw they had a whole list of apt waiting to be rented
Then they told me there was a specific mileage that needed to be respected. Something like 60 something miles ( ALexandria to Woodbridge is not that far what the hell')
Finally, after all the going around, they started my paperwork to be sent to the location in Woodbridge. I was so happy and excited, but one of the lady in the rental office gave me the biggest attitude. She looked at me as if i had stolen form her mother.
I have never seen a community so bad. It is cheap yes, but move in at your own risk.

Security is another matter but i see somebody already touched it.

I recently purchased a condo in Alexandria but I thank PG for inspiring me to do so. PG is the absolute worst which includes the community mgmt, tenants, roaches and rats. 955 of the tenants are on section 8 so this lets you know that you have moved into a place where most people don't work, are unclean and just have no regard for the place the live. I do not miss the 5 am horns blowing every morning there either. As the young lady previously stated, there were also men who hung out in front of the buildings everyday and harassed even my girlfriend for awhile until they saw her with me and that changed quickly. The are also a number of aggressive homosexual men there as well but I keep it moving and thank god they have as well before I caught a charge. The only benefit one can have from living here is that you can save a few dollars to get the hell out of there. I swear my fondest memories of Presidential Greens are wondering what the noise is in my garbage can at 3 am and finally on this day deciding to get up and turn on the kitchen light and about 3 rats jumped out fot he bag and ran for cover. I caught one in there. Another instance is bringing a young lady home and going into my bedroom and baby roaches were on my bed. Finally, it was the fact that the roaches are not scared and will surface at anytime, any place. I became obsessed with killing them and spraying until I just finally had enough. I got the hell out of there...
