This apartment complex is a disaster. The construction is very poor. I was told that my the electricity would cost about $45 and gas $15 per month. My electricity bills this past summer were always in the $90-$100 range with the gas tacked on at $70. This past winter, my gas bills peaked at $200! And this is all for only a 1 bedroom! You can actually feel a breeze if you put your hand in front of the exterior wall outlets.
Plus, if you plan to walk to the Metro, be prepared to walk through the gauntlet of feces left by your oh-so-considerate neighbors after "walking" their dogs just outside the property along the sidewalk.
The service was incredibly unreliable before the recent owners took over. I have not had any experience with the new owners/managers yet.
I leave my car on-site every day as I take the Metro to work. The first opportunity that my parking sticker fell behind the dash, the management had my car towed. No apology, no reimbursement. I had to take a cab down I-95 to the impound lot to retrieve my car. What's worse, is that because I had left town on business before the car was towed, it was kept at the tow company's lot for several days. I was charged per day!! Seems to me the management was providing great service to the tow company, not it's residents.
The maintenance left three holes in my ceiling and wall for two weeks and in the process of destroying the walls, ruined a piece of hanging art.
I'm still furious and long for my lease to expire.
