pay a lot and unfortunately listen to your neighbors all day!

Prepare to hear your neighbors. i can hear EVERYTHING they do above me....it?s like i?m in my college apartment all over again. And i?m not talking about them walking around, i can even hear them TALKING, and of course i can hear their TV.
i was told there was concrete between each floor..but i now know there?s obviously not
i have had leaks in my apartment, i?ve had electrical issues, and you can feel the draft through the doors.
whole place wasn?t built right, they didn?t even put a vapor barrier under the siding outside, so now we have another lovely 12 weeks of construction. entire building is dirty on the outside..my windows have 1/2 inch of crusty dirt on them....dust and debris all over.
elevator shaft sounds like a waterfall
new management is pretty friendly but they don?t seem to know as much about the complex as the old management that sold the place and took off practically overnight
what?s up with a company that builds a place and then books within a year or so....pretty fishy if you ask me....
I think the pool is only 4 feet deep!
tennis court isn?t even built...just a slab of concrete.
they?ve been promising a gate to make it a "gated community" but no gate is functioning.
there?s a bazillion open parking spaces, yet god help you if you park in the wrong one, or if you, heaven forbid, have a guest over!
this is typical "slap it up and people will pay" construction.
staff is quick to fix stuff, but don?t necessarily do a quality job. metro walk is great, but area is super heavily industrial...not a pleasant walk (though this isn?t the complex?s fault)
appliances are nice, and apartment is decent with tall ceilings.
Don?t get me entirely wrong...this place is pretty nice overall and seems very safe. It?s certainly not got the roach problems and crappy service that so many other dumpy apartment buildings around here have, but I *have* seen nicer quality apartments for the same price in the district...definitely moving there next year
it just seems to me that in this soft rental market...you could probably do better with your money. too bad the current staff here has such crappy construction to deal with. overall, very liveable but certainly not for the long term in my opinion.
