Not a good experience

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
My husband & I lived here for one year and had many difficulties with this "faux-luxury" complex. The ever-changing staff was less than helpful, there were multiple break-ins in the garage and apartments and it is the least secure "gated community" imaginable. (You need an entry code to drive in, but the public is open to walk onto the property.) Our carpets were badly stained, and the apartment had a bizarre sweet smell that we couldn't get rid of. It also bothered me that notices from management were shoved into the door frame (not put in mailboxes or slid under the door) so it was abundantly clear who was not home for a day or two.
Our apartment had a nice view, and we took advantage of the fitness center. (Although the equipment is in need of serious updates.) We considered staying put for convenience sake -- until we received the lease renewal notice. For months identical floorplans had been listed online at several hundred dollars below what we were paying in rent, so we expected that the rent would stay the same. We were sorely mistaken, and Reserve at Eisenhower wanted such an asinine increase in rent that we left immediately.
