I have lived at this complex for about a year now and I can not wait until my lease is up so we can move elsewhere. The only person in the leasing office who actually does there job and is VERY courteous is Stephanie, the other could care less about your needs. They are extremely rude and very condescending. We have had several issues with the AC, Door Locks (won't lock), poor plumbing, and very very thin walls. It doesn't matter if it's an emergency...Don't expect maintenance to respond quickly. It took 2 weeks to get our AC working properly and over 3 months for the fireplace.

As for crime, I highly do NOT suggest parking in there "lovely" parking garage. Which sometimes you don't have a choice cause there is not enough spaces to go around. My friend (who is also a resident) had his car completely stripped over night. They even took the air bag! The property staff did nothing about it even though this is an ongoing problem. They have 2 Alexandria police officers (I think) that live at this community. From my understanding, they live rent free in return for "surveying" the grounds...which they absolutely do not do and could probably care less.

If you have dogs, DO NOT MOVE HERE. They hate dog owners. The designated areas for your pets is extremely small and limited, it's literally part of the parking lot! They do not allow them in the courtyard. Just recently they sprayed pesticides on the grass, and wouldn't you know it that the only place they sprayed was in the areas designated for your pets!! Now that is just evil. My dog was sick for about a week!! Oh, they charge outrageous pet deposits...which you will not get back.

I could go on and on and on. Let me just make one thing clear, DO NOT MOVE HERE. You can get more bang for your buck just up the street.
