I moved into the Reserve about 2 months ago and have to say that I am pretty pleased with the apartments. Yes, the rent is a little on the high side, but the complex is fairly new and they are in a great location.
The shopping center across the street has everything you need and you are literally 5 minutes from DC.
So far, I have no complaints, except for the occasional downstairs neighbors being too loud sometimes and the long walk to my apt from where I park. But sometimes you cant have it all..its a nice apt and I definitely would recommend it to anyone-There are always maintainance workers keeping up the area and yes it is a big complex so sometimes you have to deal with the fact that they won't come to fix something at the snap of your fingers, but I havent had any problems so far.
Treat the office people with respect and I'm sure they would do the same for you. I've found everyone to be nice and as a single female feel safe coming home late even with the gates not working half the time. I would just not recommend living on the first floor, near stairs, or near the ghetto neighborhood side. Other than that the Reserve is great place to live, especially if you are new to the city and want to live in a good neighborhood.
