This place is Ok. I have been living here for 2 years.
Pros
-No roaches No ants. I live in building 2 and lived in two different apartments here. and have never seen one roach. (and i am not the neatest person) so that is a big plus!
-a shuttle takes you to the metro. (for free) only during rush hours.
-washer and dryer in each unit. plus hot water is very hot and never runs out! each apt has its own hot water tank.
-feel very safe when i come in by myself at anytime of the day. just a quiet complex.
-quiet neighbors
--you have your own parking space. and they try to get you as close to your apt as possible. so parking is not an issue.
--the apts are pretty homey.
Cons
-It is way too expensive. about 1200 for a one bedroom and 1600 for a two.
-The gates are open at different times of the day. I could come in at 1am and the gates are wide open. then we had a rash of car break-ins and the management had a meeting on what we should do to prevent break ins!! I was like how about you do your part and keep the gates closed. which they dont do till this day.
-the gates you need to type in a code to walk through are also always open.
-lately seems more families are moving in versus young quiet professionals. so, out by the pool is louder now in the summer and sometimes kids are playing ball in the parking lot.
- you have to pay for parking spaces. and you dont even get one free! we were lucky that the promotion that we got when we moved in was one free space. but if we didnt we would be paying for two spaces
-which leads me to, you feel like you have to pay to breathe here. pay for water (i guess cuz we each have our own hot water tanks), gas, electricity, each parking space (and they are not the same prices). its crazy.
--because of the new "family types" moving in i have felt less safe. and dont like going to the work out room by myself. cuz it might be groups of young guys in there and little ol me. even though thats personal its a con for me.
