I looked at this site often while I was deciding a few months ago, so I figured it was time to give back.

The apartments themselves are nice. Clean, new...nice.

Some here have said that the noise is a little out of control, and I totally agree. This is the one thing I feel I was basically lied to about when I was looking.

The floors make an extrodinary amount of noise. You can hear even casual walking. The walls are paper thin...I've never heard anything like it. You would think that, in this day of energy efficency and knowing what apartment renters want, construction would have included at least some insulation between apartments...but no. You can hear regular conversations through your walls easily, and sex is something else. Toilets flusing at 3am are great, as are the people who like to do their laundry at midnight.

On top of that, one of the "pluses" about this complex is that they allow pets. If you have one, great. But if you don't (and even if you do), imagine what it's like having a dog chase a tennis ball around the apartment above you. The balconies are also a breeding ground for all kinds of noise, from parties to just people who want to listen to music. Forget having your windows open for the most part.

People keep complaining about paying for parking, but it's only $25 each month, plus $50 for an extra spot. I think $25 is well worth knowing that I have a parking spot at any time, and always within a reasonable distance to my apartment. I'd rather have to pay $25 than have a free-for-all.

The one problem with the complex, which is loosely related to parking, are the gates. When I moved in, they handed me a controler but told me that it didn't work. Why did they give it to me' I have no idea. Don't let them sell you on this "secure complex"...anyone can walk in from the street and knock on your door without being checked. Further, I have seen local kids wandering around the parking garages...climbing, screwing around, and otherwise doing things that they shouldn't be doing. There's no partols and no cameras, so be sure to keep your car locked.

You should also keep in mind that this complex is huge. A full, large city block. If you want to use the pool, gym or walk to the office, just keep in mind that you may have a fairly long haul ahead of you.

The gym is small but useful. The pool is small but nice.

The staff is alright, but they tend to seem bothered when you have a problem or question. I've had a few situations where they've taken the easiest way out without really addressing the issue at hand.

If you buy in to the superficial looks of the new place, that's fine. But keep in mind that people live on all sides of you, and even the most quiet neighbor makes noise -- and you'll hear every bit. It's really a shame that a place that looks this nice is missing simple insulation in the walls.

It looks good, sounds awful, and everything else is about average.

this persons experience is not mine. I live in building 2. which is closest to the main road, so walking to the pool, gym or leasing office is right here. I also live on the 4th floor and noise has not been as issue for me. I also totally disagree about the parking payments. the 25 dollar spot is fine. but then they double it if you get a 2nd space. to me that is a rip off. im sure it does not cost them that most every year to keep up those spaces. (and the price probably will go up soon as well) but i have to admit i do like coming home to a given space and it being close to my apt.

I agree and disagree - Paying even $75.00 for two spaces, and for them to be guaranteed my spaces when I get home from work at 10-11:00pm, is fine. I used to live in DC, and would spend over an hour trying to find street parking late at night - or even worse, have to pay a monthly parking fee of over $150.00 for a garaged space then have to walk 4 blocks to my house. Think of things from all prospectives. As far as the parking goes, you get what you pay for - and in this case, they offer more. You get a guaranteed space, within walking distance to your apartment home.

I think this person lived next to me. My dog constantly chases balls around the apartment and I have lots of loud sex. Yay me! Sorry
