Cars broken into

A couple weeks ago about 7 cars were broken into early in the morning. According to one the cops while they running the plates of the cars through their system one of the owners of the cars came up on the suspected terriost list so he had to be arrested.
Another issue the cops said they are going to address is people going from door to door checking to see if the doors are unlock so they can break in. Just recently on a couple occasions I have heard people try to open the door I even called the rental office but they were not concerned at all.
Also people leave their trash all over, in the stair wells and they will also leave it in front of the chute but not throw it down. People have posted hilarious notes around the complex but the lazy people just ignore them. It is really gross and an eye sore.

They did post something around the mailboxes about protecting your car but no formal memo about the incidence. I noticed it because I saw the cops writing out a police report in the parking garage at 100 luna park drive so I told my husband and he went out and talked to one of the cops.

Ouch. I didn't hear anything about 7 vehicles being broken into. You think that they would tell you more about that stuff, to prepare. Of course the towing company this place uses breaks into cars when they tow them using a slim jim, allegedly so they can take the vehicle out of gear. Of course, the same company has been sued for predatory towing, and lost, so how do we know they aren't taking items out of vehicles, or worse yet, taking the whole vehicle and selling them at some chop shop? I personally saw them breaking into a vehicle before they towed it--they are very quick--took them only seconds. The police refuse to take action--they say this is normal practice. So anyhow, safety and protection of private property seems to be amiss here.
