I have been a resident at Riverside for over a year now, and thank goodness I have the chance to leave. This place offers a quote "lifestyle"... Im still trying to figure out what they are advertising with this. Recently the tenth floor flooded so the rest of the building has enjoyed the noisy hum of humidifiers and fans to stop additional mildew growth. This has also created issues with the elevators. Frequently, the elevators are broken, but most recently only one or two are servicing all 16 floors!!! Yes, waiting for an elevator for 10 minutes is a great way to meet your neighbors... but is it fun when you are late for work' No!!!
When I was younger, I got to experience cold water when swimming with the Polar Bear Club... Another great part of the lifestyle here is to recreate that experience with random and quite annoying cold showers. I pay for my electricity, but see no discount when it is not working.
Despite its mistakes and inconviences, the staff will never apologize. They are quick to send out mass memos stuck in your door to remind everyone to pay rent on time and not disobey the rules outlined in your resident's handbook. They assume you are just like the deadbeats that were skinny-dipping in the pool last week and will treat you as such. No dogs, no grills, and no parking close to the building... but you will find plenty of overflowing trash chutes, screaming kids, and brokendown commercial vehicles... Oh, what a lifestyle!
