We have lived at Riverside since June 2008. We thought that we were getting a good place to live after paying a little bit more and living in Building 1 which was newly renovated. The other buildings, when they showed them to us, had holes in the ceiling, smelled like cat piss, had horrible lighting and desperately thin walls. The first building did not fair much better after a year. We frequently have no hot water. The electricity goes in and out during storms and totally ruins everything you try to do including cooking since the stove is electric. The washer/dryer take multiple loads to complete a cycle. The "Business Center" never has internet access or printer ink, and when it does, there are either unsupervised children playing viddeo games or creepy older gentlemen on MySpace. The elevators continually do not work, or often, 1 only works, which is difficult to get to the 10th floor from the lobby. The "security" is a joke. Outside the gates, there are drug dealers and prostitutes trolling the area and the gate guard is on a computer or sleeping or "gone to bathroom." The door security is moot since everyone lets anyone in, even without a key fob. Walking outside the gates, my wife got acosted by a man driving by, asking her, "How much'" There are reports, through the management, about car break-ins and damage to cars in the parking lot.
Move away from here. Ambulances and police sirens go by every hour and the pool is limitedly open and breaks frequently. Not worth the money. Shouldn't pay this much for the area or the lack of real security.
