My girlfriend and I looked at a great many apartments in the area and this complex was far-and-away the all around nicest. Turned out, after being here for a few months, that our impression was perfectly justified.



The grounds are well kept up and clean, there is always plenty of parking nearby (I get mildly disappointed when I can?t park RIGHT in front of my door and am frustrated by the dissymetry of having to park two or three spaces away). There are parks right up the road one way and malls the other way... Old Town in a 15 minute drive. We only have one car between the two of us, but my commute is easy as pie (1 hour door-to-door into downtown DC) using the bus/metro. The place is incredibly easy to get to (our friends and family visit from New York/New Jersey and the directions are still only three or four lines long) but removed enough to be very quiet at night. Also, it?s walking distance from a little strip mall which rocks.



The apartment itself was very clean when we moved in, all the appliances were (and continue to be) in working order. Undeliably, one of the best things about the place is the washer/dryer, we got one of the apartments with the slightly outdated version... but it works and is worlds better than the laundrymat.



My only criticisms are that the area is only serviced by Cox Cable... they bite. Two, there is no linen closet, but there is plenty of closet space for a makeshift one or one can set up some shelves in the utility room. Three, there is no way for hi-speed internet: too far from the Central Office for DSL and Cable... please see review of Cox Cable.

It should be noted that the complex is actually two complexes in one. I get the feeling that the lousy reviews might be of the other side (one is set up in a circle around the basketball team streets... thats where I live. The other side is set up in parallel rows).
