While there really are some great things about living here, they have not outweighed the problems that we have had - we are moving next month. Management - pretty good. I really like all of the staff in the office. Some are more reliable than others, although they all try to do a really good job. If you can communicate with the senior leasing agent, then she is definitely the best. A couple of the younger ones often relay contradicting information, but they try to straighten it out.

Parking is great, but it can also depend upon where your apartment is. I ALWAYS get a spot right out front. Location is great, although it is NOT the nicest area, it's not bad since you are close to Kingstowne, DC and other areas. My neighbors are pretty friendly (well, the ones I actually see). And yes, you can definitely hear people above you, but that is apartment living. It is really dog friendly. They do try to create a community feel.

OK, here comes the bad parts: MAINTENANCE. In all my years of apartment living (5 thus far), I have NEVER had to call maintenance more than once or twice a year if that. In the past year, I have had to call them many, many times. These problems were in no means petty things, they were major problems. My son and I had to leave several times due to the smell. We even contacted the health department. Since our lease ends soon, we did not pursue the issue any further with them. We would rather just leave. I will not give specifics because I am still living here. I am sure that maintenance will need to be called again, so I don't want to upset them. I have contacted maintenance several times in the past three months regarding a major concern and still no action. They have done a good job fixing most of the emergencies that we have had, so I don't really blame them. I may have just been unlucky and got the apartment that was leaking, molding and falling apart. I am sure that everyone does not experience this. BUT, I would not risk it. Find something nicer and pay a little more - you will get a whole lot more.
