i lived in sacramento sq. for 3 years and from day one things were bad. i lived away from the rental office so my building was ignored. there was trash in the building, the grounds were no where as nice as the main part of the neighborhood, management was scandalous, in other words they had no record of lots of tenants paying their security deposit. my neighbor got robbed in the building, another neighbors car was vandalized. nothing ever got fixed in a timely manner and when they attempted to fix things it was a half ass job. i have moved into another place and still shiver at the thought of living in that place. i still have a few friends who live there to this day and let them tell it things have only got worse, imagine that!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it is even worse now, why are your friends still renewing their leases and not moving out? It doesn't make sense. Guess it couldn't have been THAT bad, huh? I moved in a few days ago and I have a totally different perception of the place. I saw a clean up guy outside picking up trash and maintenance was out and about looking quite busy. The office staff has been nothing but nice and the security deposit thing you mentioned is confusing. It is reflected on my lease that I paid it, I saw them make a copy of my payment and put it in my file, and they gave me a receipt. Doesn't sound "scandalous" to me!
