Martha and the property mgr. are evecting a tenant who is ill because a friend comes on a regular basis to help her. Without a warning or an attemt to help her, a returning rentee at the Sherwood, she has been treated unfairly and rudely. In addition, they are holding her responsible for water damage after an ongoing plumbing problem in the bathroom. Maintanance was called numerous times because the toilet overflowed. The technitian snaked the toilet and left it at that! The problem became worse until a major flood took place and management said there was "food in the toilet". What the heck kind of sense does that make' Did they see a steak or a porkchop stuck' An evaluation that doesn't add up to any civilized person. Not to mention that it is an outright lie!! Management has failed a loyal tenant who does not deserve the hardship she is put through. If you feel you have been subjected to discrimination in any way, please join the complaints made to Chanell 7 on your side by calling 703-236-9778.

YOU NEED TO LEARN TO RESPECT MILAGROS MARTA IS DOWNRIGHT RUDE AND SHE EVEN CURSES AND BRINGS PROSTITUTES TO THE LOBBY! I CANT BELIEVE SHE'S EVICTING THE SWEET OLD LADY WHO NEEDS ASSISTANCE. YOU NEED TO GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT AND STOP SAYING THIS IS AMERICA, IT IS, BUT YOU NEED TO LEARN YOUR WAYS IN WRITING ENGLISH! IN ADDITION, IM A HISPANIC, AND KNOW HOW TO WRITE ENGLISH! >:D

yes the Front Desk people are anything but friendly. i have bad experience in Berkley. One, day i was treated by a man "I think he might even be a security guard and NOT even Front Desk Personnel" like a thief. I also alwas wonder Why the LOBBY is so neat and beautiful, uncluding the hallway close the elevators. Everything elese is dark, norrow and unpleasant. |

In any residential neighborhood, there are rules, regulations and responsibilities of the tenant, landlord or owner(s). Martha has been my resident manager for many years, and I can truly say that she has always displayed kindness, politeness and respect to everyone. When a tenant signs the leasing agreement to reside here at the Southern Towers Apts. they should be aware of the contents within the leasing agreement. We as tenants cannot import our preferences and wishes that are contrary to being a good neighbor, that are contrary to established guidelines and that are contrary to the existing culture. I have found that the front desk personnel have discharged their duties and responsibilites in a very professional and pleasant manner. The security personnel are attentive to their duties and willing to assist whenever possible...whether it be a security issue or an assistance issue. From my general observations, as I enter and exit my apartment and the building...there are on many occassions, a lack of culture awareness...wherein many tenants are unaware or choose to ignore the established American culture...meaning that we should all attempt to demonstrate politeness, respect and avoid being insulting. And if there are disagreements, the leasing agreement, rationale and respectful conversation should bring about an acceptable solution. Sincerely.
