Southern Towers

Keep looking... From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/7/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   Where to begin...let's start with the parking. There are 4 or 5 buildings within Southern Towers so the parking lot is pretty big. However, each building is given 14 or 15 visitor spots which are given out on a first come, first serve basis. And even if all the spots aren't taking, you only get 1 per apartment. Therefore, if you and your roommate have someone over on the same night, only 1 person gets a spot! There are 2 pools but if you want to bring a guest you have to pay $5. I lived in the Stratford builing, and there was usually at least 1 elevator that was always broken. I was on one of the top floors and the trash chute was usually closed (not sure why) and therefore the trash was just put anywhere. The staff was never pleasant or easy to deal with and nothing was ever "uniform". What i mean is the way something was done always depended on which staff you were dealing with...they don't have a set of rules they all follow. The fire alarm was constently going off for NO reason, so you never knew if it was a real fire or just another "mistake". The maintenance people are basically worthless. We never had the blinds installed in the livingroom, even though we asked everyday for about the first 2-3 weeks we lived there. The bathroom ceiling was leaking and it took 2-3 days before they "fixed" it well enough to stop the leak for the time being. And by fix I mean they cut a big hole in the ceiling and then covered it with cardboard. And it wasn't a little leak, the ceiling was sagging and the floor was soaked! The ceiling stayed like that for almost 3 months before someone finally came and filled the hole. There are roaches...saw them in the lobby and in the apartment. Overall I don't think there is 1 good thing I can say. I was ESTATIC when it was time to move out!
