I just wanted to know if they hire people by rudness. They do their best to look for the rudest and meanest managers they can find. Peggy is a total -----, clueless, horrible and ugly on the top of that. You call to complain, she would cut you off and snap at you, big ugly mouth that's what she is. They will never fix your problems, there is nothing they could do about them, all they do is patch everything with a duck tape, it seems that the duck tape resolves all their issues.

Wow, that's incredible because I just had an issue with same lady, Peggy Fontaine. I was even face-to-face with the beast, even a human face of a customer could not humanize her. That's what happens when you hire a bunch of uneducated, disgruntled people. I thought I was the only one to have had issues with this very same manager. I'm taking it up to her higher ups!!!

I live at the Sherwood building and feel the exact same way. The management is horrible and rude~ They take out their personal frustrations on the tenants..I can't WAIT to leave

In response to Ms Peggy being rude, I responded by saying that I know Peggy and she is such a nice person, I checked that out and it wasnt the Peggy I thought I knew who was being mean to people, so Peggy I am sorry you are not the nice Peggy I know so please treat your residents with respect.

Your are absolutely right, they don't care about their tenants, they are just there to collect rent checks, and for the person who wanted to take it to the higher up, do not even bother, I sent faxes to Peggy and copies to Mr. Parker (General Manager of ST), even talked to him personally on the phone, he took my contact information, said that he will call me back soon, I never heard from him again. It's so frustrating that nobody ever care about the tenants needs and concerns, and take it from me, really, for whoever doubt my story and some other tenants bad experience in southern towers, THE MANAGMENT COMPANY OR THE OWNER DO NOT CARE ABOUT OF THE WELL-BEING OF THE TENANTS, THEIR GOAL IS TO GET ALL THE BUILDINGS FULL, SHUT THEIR MOUTH WITH DUCK TAPE OR GLUE TRAPS WHENEVER THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT WINDOWS, ROACHS, OR MICES AND KEEP THE LOBBIES SHINY FOR IMAGE.

What a bunch of cry babies. Didn't get what you wanted, so go and make an extreme, made up issue. If the management wasn't concerned about the condition of the buildings, they would allow trashing by the renters that live like pigs, they try to clean up, and fix up all the destruction of the trashy people that live here cause. There are rules that all of us sign and agree to live by. What makes you think you are any different than the rest of us and can make Southern Towers a "bad" apartment community. It's people like you whiners that try to manipulate,take advantage and make a dump. If it's so tough for you to live here, stop "whining" and move out. I'm sure the management would be happy to see you go. And so would the good people that make Southern Towers their home. Maybe the duct tape that one review talked about, should put it over their mouth. If you knew how to be a good renter and neighbor, request necessary services that Southern Towers does for us, you would get along better with people and make a positive contribution to your building and neighbors. I just love the way most of these reviews are non-informative and one-sided, twisted to get your way. And I'm glad that I can be one of the good ones to cheer for Southern Towers. It has always been a great place to live, my 20 yrs., convenient, econonical, and good management, and still is. They just need to rent to a better class people. If you're trash, you trash. Management can't change you, and has to put up with you till you move or get kicked out. More power to Southern Towers and what you have to put up with every day. It's a dirty job, but you appear to be doing it pretty well. Keep cleaning it up for us, the good renters.

Re: Cry Babies The only person that would give this much praise to Southern Towers is someone in Management of Southern Towers, trying to keep their job, lol. Think about it, with over 95% of the residents complaining about mice and roaches in ALL the buildings, bad attitudes of resident managers, and slow response times of repairmen, there has to be something to the complaints. I've noticed that most good reviews were from people that have only lived there for a short time and haven't experienced the months and months neglect and poor customer service, or the people that have lived there for a very long time (15-20) years, who have formed a buddy-buddy relationship with management and lie about all the good service they receive to protect their buddies jobs. But, they don't have to lie to help them keep their jobs because apparently upper management/owners either don't even read these comments or they read them and don't care about the residents complaints, cares, or concerns. There have been many complaints about roaches and mice for about the last 10 years, and they continue to made on a regular basis. When 9 out of 10 posts say negative things about Southern Towers anyone with common sense would surely have to believe the 9 complaints, and have to assume that the 1 favorable post has to be made by either Management or a friend of Management, or a person who is living in La La Land, lol.

All of the resident managers are lazy and rude and the one at Monticello is particularly good at passing the buck and overtalking your requests. Never takes the blame for anything and hides in her office and refuses to come out to talk to you. She needs to be put out and give someone else a chance to manage. She doesn't know the meaning of the word work.

heres the deal it is a -------- of old cluttery crappy buildings managers are for the most part ignorant and stupid and dont care.. But hey these are the cheapest units in DC and if you need to rent one for part time living they are great if this is your primary home well get a better job and move up in the world.

peggy, she is big pig. she gat big mouth and not ashemed to show you how rude and bad she is. i am realy felt bad for her. her personality is such a low and dirty. how come a person become ugly and unimproved while people telling her how bad she is? the owners should concider all this copliants and place someone helpfull there. peggy if you see this page, please try to be nice for your tenants. do you think that you doing your job nicely? i think you have to resign
