I currently live in the Ashlawn building. It is an OK place but what I want to warn people about is that they are currently doing brick work on the exteriors of all of the buildings. The crews are using air drills and hammers pounding on the outsides of the buildings VERY loudly. It has become almost intolerable as they are out there working starting at 8am every weekday. My understanding is that this work is going to continue for a long time now, so if you are looking for a quiet place to live then I definitely DO NOT recommend moving to Southern Towers. In addition our rents will increase as they have every year despite the massive inconvenience they have been putting us through. Move anywhere else instead!

I think this time it becomes bad including the ongoing brick work and the bad management team especially at Ashlawn. Let me share my incident this morning, I was walking from my to prepare my self to go work then guess what happen is all the dusts fill my room all and I cann't even breath, eat wear closes and left to report to the managers. then the manager responds to me as if it is normal and they put scotch tap all around the window then leave my home while the dust full of my house. Gues what I did dress up my dirty closes leave the room to work and I will be back to the same room with full of dust after work....... It is ohhhh terrible and don't try even…..
I put this comment because the Managers are the worst than the problem.

It took over a year for the blasting crews to move away from my end of the building. The dust still makes breathing difficult. They broke a window and I now have cracks in my walls. Elevators break down regularly, the lobby has pipes that burst that flood it, they now close off the incinerators each Tuesday for the exterminators, and there are mice throughout all the apartments. The tenants don't seem to care and rents are raised each year while there is no service provided.

I live in Stratford, and even though the brick crews moved off our side several months ago, we are STILL cleaning up the brick dust inside our apartment and from our windows. Our balcony, and the bicycles and deck chairs we have stored there, are not completely useless to us. It would be nice if management would at least offer to power-wash the balconies and windows.
